Paul M. Koziell Memorial Scholarship

The MBTA Educational Foundation Board is establishing a named scholarship in honor of Paul Koziell, a past president of MBTA and a long-time member of the MBTA Educational Foundation Board. Paul and his father-in-law Eldon Morrison, founder of CPM Constructors, died in an accident in October. Paul had a passion for raising funds for student scholarships, and mentoring young people interested in the transportation industry.  Paul’s wife Denise, and their children Sophia and Nicholas, asked in the Paul Koziell Obituary, that memorial contributions be sent in Paul’s name to  the Foundation.

To date, we have received major gifts from MBTA Board members totaling $35,000, and another $15,000 has come in through friends and associates of Paul and his family. The Foundation Board wants to raise an additional $50,000 for the fund and award the first Paul M Koziell Scholarship in 2023.

The MBTA Educational Foundation is a tax-exempt charitable organization under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)3. The EIN is 01-0513594.
